Originating from the Yixing area of Jiangsu Province, China, renowned as the pottery capital of the nation, this bonsai pot is a testament to simplicity and elegance. The pot bears the craftsman's signature on its bottom, a mark of authenticity. Crafted from the unique purple clay found near the Yangtze River, this material is regarded as the finest for bonsai pots.

This beautifully made piece has a robust form with a slight lip to the rim, and is gently elevated on four integrated square feet. The pot is made in a reddish-brown clay and finished in a beautiful mottled running glaze in green, with hints of brown.
